The IP based Logipix multi-megapixel surveillance system is the appropriate choice for stadium surveillance.
The Logipix camera family contains cameras with 9, 15 and 100 Megapixel resolution. The cameras' extraordinary detailed images allow to effectively observe quite small-scale surfaces in the monitored area.
The Control Center is able to display visual information of transmitted camera pictures where the original combined resolution can be even greater than 1 Gigapixel. It uses the computer’s GPU through OpenGL to combine the pictures of 16 cameras, where the size of this combined image is about 200 Megapixels. The Control Center is able to show 5 of these pictures at once.
Logipix system uses JPEG2000 standard for image compression. Utilizing the embedded multi-stream of JPEG2000, STP Ltd. developed Logi-zoom. It is a recorder side zoom function, which significantly increases the efficiency of supervision. It allows to send the image of the requested area of the multi-megapixel picture - stored in the recorder - in high resolution towards the monitoring center, whilst the rest of the picture is still transmitted in lower resolution.
With MultiZoom function several high resolution zoomed area can be observed on one single stitched image in case of live and archive video stream as well.
